EATON COMMUNITY BANK ANNOUNCES $75,000 GRANT TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY CAPITAL REGION FOR THE VALENCIA PROJECT.
LANSING, Mich. – Eaton Community Bank is proud to announce it will award $75,000 in Community Multiplier grant funds to Habitat for Humanity Capital Region via the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis’ Community Multiplier – Member Match program.
Community Multiplier – Member Match is a matching grant program available to financial institution members of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indianapolis). The program offers Community Multiplier Member Match Program | 2 grants of up to $60,000 each with a minimum 25% matching commitment from the member financial institution to target specific affordable housing initiatives.
“A home is more than four walls. It’s the foundation where families grow, neighborhoods flourish and communities become stronger,” Eaton Community Bank President Garrett Bensinger said. “At Eaton Community Bank, we’re proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity Capital Region, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis and others who share our commitment to creating greater opportunity through housing. The Valencia Project is an investment not only in homes, but in families and the future of Greater Lansing.”
The grant will support Habitat for Humanity Capital Region’s Valencia Project by investing in financial education and homeownership readiness programs for future homeowners. By helping families build financial confidence and stability, the initiative advances a shared commitment between Eaton Community Bank and Habitat for Humanity Capital Region to create stronger households and strengthen communities across Greater Lansing.
"Building affordable homes is only part of what we do," said Brent Taylor, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Capital Region. "Equally important is preparing families to become successful homeowners. Through financial education, budgeting, credit counseling, and ongoing support, we help our homebuyers build the skills and confidence necessary to maintain their homes, manage their finances, and create lasting stability for their families. Eaton Community Bank's partnership helps make that work possible."
