RoundUp Savings

The easy way to make everyday purchases part of your savings plan.

Saving money is automatic and stress-free with the RoundUp Savings checking account feature. Every time you use your personal debit card, we'll round up your purchase and transfer the difference to your savings account. It's like dropping your spare change into a digital piggy bank.

Eligibility

This program applies to all personal debit card purchases from your checking account, excluding ATM transactions. Business accounts are not eligible.

How RoundUp works

All debit card purchases are automatically rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. For example:

  • A $3.50 purchase rounds to $4.00 — $0.50 goes to your savings.
  • A $10.00 purchase rounds to $11.00 — $1.00 goes to your savings.

In addition to the standard round-up, you can choose to contribute up to $8 extra dollars per transaction, making the maximum total round-up $9.00. This gives you flexibility to save more with every purchase while keeping the process simple and automatic.

RoundUp transfers will not occur when funds are not available in your checking at the time of the transaction, or if a transaction requires manual posting. RoundUp transfers will not be reversed if a transaction is refunded.

Transfer Timing

The combined RoundUp amount from the posted purchases that business day, along with any additional elected amounts, will transfer to your savings at the end of the day.

Opt In/Opt Out

You can Opt Out at any time by visiting one of our branches, sending a message through Online Banking or contacting our Care Center at 866-699-3372.

Fees

There are no fees associated with RoundUp. Standard transaction fees and account fees may apply as stated in ECB’s fee schedule.

Changes/Cancellations

ECB reserves the right to change or cancel the RoundUp Savings at its discretion. You will be notified of any changes or cancellations as required.
